Guilty Pleasures | Set Designer

Westchester Playhouse

Emmy-award winning Ken Levine, creator of M*A*S*H and Cheers, brought his unapologetic comedy to the Westchester Playhouse where I had the honor of working as Set Designer for this hilarious romp. Throughout this journey, I worked along side Jonathan Fahn (Director) and Lou Saliba (producer) to bring this topsy turvy cruise and larger than life characters to life.

“Kudos also to Mimi Hrivnak’s scenic design which incorporates turning the stage around (literally).”

-Elaine Mura (Splash Magazine)

“There’s nothing at all' ‘community theater’ about Mimi Hrivnak’s set (a couple of smartly appointed cabins that revolve individually to reveal a pair of matching dining room booths)…”

-Steven Stanley (StageSceneLA)

Showtime!

Here is some backstage footage of my process throughout the entire set design and build as well as the initial model box concept for the cruise ship design.

The set itself had two large, rotating turntables to go from inside the couples’ cruise ship staterooms and the dining hall/lounge.
